Standards and Classifications.

Manual attack protection is measured against sustained attack by professional invaders using a variety of tools such as drills. Manual Attack resistance is rated by the European Standard (EN) and Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) with the higher the numerical rating meaning a higher level of protection on offer.

Manual Attack Resistance in accordance with EN 1627 are classified in RC1-6, offering:

  • Resistance to a static charge (EN 1628)

  • Resistance to a dynamic charge (EN 1629)

  • Resistance to manual break-in (EN 1630)

Manual Attack Resistance in accordance with the EN 356 standard is classified as:

  • Resistant to vandalism (P1A – P5A)

  • Resistant to break-in (P6B – P8B)

Manual Attack Classifications (Doors + Enclosures).

Manual attack, bullet, blast, and fire resistance products can be tested to different certification levels. Different levels of certification offer different levels of protection, find out more about the widely recognised standards within the industry here.
