Safetell and InVue have been working together to provide security solutions for phones and tablets on display in retail stores across the UK since 2017.

InVue is an American company that manufacture and supply innovative security and merchandising solutions to retailers and brands in over 90 countries. The solutions they offer have been specifically designed to help retailers secure their merchandise and reduce theft, without sacrificing user experience.

Their pod solution securely holds a device to a stand, or display case, whilst charging it. The device can only be released with a store-wide single key solution, eliminating the difficulty that retailers have in managing multiple keys. This solution enables the customer to have full access to the device, without being able to remove it from the display.

InVue were keen to expand their demographic in the UK and identified, that with a limited workforce, they needed a network of trusted and experienced engineers who could install and maintain their products on their behalf. Safetell were able to offer a full turnkey solution which included a team of experienced engineers, project management and a warehouse to manage and dispatch stock.

Now, when an order is placed with InVue in the UK, equipment is sent directly to Safetell’s warehouse in Kent. An engineer then takes the equipment to the site and integrates the system(s) into the existing counter(s) or merchandising display. All electronic devices are then fitted into the InVue pods by the Safetell engineer. Staff training is provided in-store, so staff are able to confidently fit, manage, and change the devices. Safetell receives calls from InVue to repair and replace pods. Often, in cases like this, a service level agreement is put in place and response times agreed. When repairs are required a Safetell engineer is sent to site to diagnose the fault. The system is then either repaired, if possible, or replaced from van spares supplied by InVue. Once the job is completed, a report and photo documentation are sent to InVue so that an invoice to the end-user can be raised.
