Fixed Ballistic Security Screens – Mark II is a Laminated Glass solution with a vertical stainless steel fixing, combining the best protection for counter staff with convenience for customers.
Often specified as part of a complete counter refresh, the Mark II Screen is designed to provide a high degree of protection to staff in cash handling situations, providing resilient protection against the threat of violent and armed criminals.
Mark II Security Screens are completely free of direct gaps and apertures in the design, providing a secure solution that emboldens staff safety and security.
Constructed with a unique ‘X’ design screen post, the bullet resistant Security Screen facilitates speech transfer, allowing for seamless communication while maintaining a secure corporate environment. The screen posts measure 100mm x 60mm and are securely fixed to the countertop with vertical tie rods located inside the post. The standard maximum screen height is 2040mm and the maximum recommended bay width is 1200mm.
The security glass is situated into deep rebates and is secured to both the counter top and the screen headrail. When required, a stainless steel mesh can be fitted above the screen to complete the security barrier.
Additional bespoke sizes of proprietary security glazing can be used with a 25mm deep rebate.

Mark II Security Screens can be designed to provide protection under the harmonised BS EN 1063 and BS EN 1522 ballistic standards, but due to the nature of testing criteria for these standards, the addition of electronic speech transfer is required on most screen sizes.
