Both types of system provide for client programmable scrolling messages and animations.The media controller inclusive in the LCD queue system can be connected to any LCD or plasma display, with no limit to the number of media or graphics.

Both types of queue management system collect varying types of data; branch reporting software included in the product makes this available for management use.
Typical statistics include:
- Average service time.
- Total customers served.
- Total counters open.
- Number of counters open.
- Number of customers served
by the top 10 counters.
- Number of customers served at each counter.
- Work duration of each counter.
- Average service time at each counter.
The same reporting software provides historical and date range range reporting; for example of the number of customers served at each counter position, or the number of customers served each day.
