Safetell Corporate

Our corporate name “Safetell” is derived from “Safety for
Tellers” and reflects our first product to protect staff against armed robbery.

Since 1987, Safetell has installed equipment in more than 4,500 customer premises to protect more than 13,000 cashiers and other front-line staff in the UK. 

Safetell was founded in Australia in 1984 and started UK operations in 1987 in collaboration with Tate & Lyle Engineering. The company transferred its headquarters to the UK in 1989 with Australia becoming an operating subsidiary and subsequently a licensee. Newmark Security PLC acquired the Safetell group companies in 2000

Licensees and distributors have installed Safetell screens in USA, South Africa, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Uruguay.

Safetell employs 70 staff involved in the design, project implementation, service and repair of our products, CCTV, locking systems and industrial doors. Front-line staff are security vetted to BS7858 and the company operates in accordance with its ISO 9001, LRQA accredited quality system.

Throughout our history, we have always adopted a “whole life” approach: survey, manufacture, procurement, installation, training and after-sales service. The service business extends that philosophy to support our clients for equipment that they may have purchased from third parties.
